Chapels That Allow Outside Photographers

Hi, everybody, I’m Jamie. I’m the owner and one of the lead photographers for rock N romance elopements. I was thinking for blogs that it might be easier for me to just do videos and then do like a transcription of the video below. So that if you want to watch a video for what I’m saying, you can, if you want to read it, then you can do that as well. I’ll still do some blogs with like photos and stuff. But I think to start, it’s mainly going to be informational.

So one of the things since it’s like fresh news kind of is about the Little White Chapel. So there’s only really like two chapels currently in Vegas that do not charge for outside photographers. And that’s sort of White Chapel and sure thing chapel. And we do elopements at both of those locations. The previous price for the Little White Chapel was just included in our all our basic packages. And then sure thing was a little bit of an add on because their price was a little bit higher. Late last year, like early this year, I guess late last year, so it’s like the beginning of January, Little White Chapel was sold to another company that has chapels currently on the strip that have different rules than Little White Chapel had. And they’re starting to change things a little bit, unfortunately.

So I don’t know all the specifics right now. I do know that the pink catalog that they had and the Tunnel of Love, which was like my favorite place to do ceremonies, that now they have a different one that’s like further back in the tunnel. So it looks a little bit different than before. Not a lot. I mean, it’s hard to notice from the pictures, but it has moved and it’s a little bit different. Secondly, they are not allowing private vows anymore, I guess. So like you just repeat after the officiant what he says or she says them then that’s all. So if you want to do private vows, that would be something you would have to do before after, or you just can’t do it at Little White Chapel anymore.

Unfortunately, I’ve heard that they’re going to start charging for outside photographers. I heard a rumor that it might be $200. I’m not sure. Supposedly people that booked in 2022 don’t have to worry about that. But nothing’s updated on their website, everything I’m just hearing secondhand, so I don’t know exactly. I do know that we will raise our rates for the chapel, or for base packages that would include the chapel so that there’s no extra fees there. I haven’t quite figured it out. But we’ll be updating the pricing. So you’ll know you won’t be surprised if I have any weddings that were booked before this and they tried to say that we have to pay that day, I will take care of it.

If you booked an all inclusive package with me, um, I heard that they’re changing the tunnel a little bit so I have no idea what they’re doing. The tunnel is my favorite place there because it has a lot of room. It looks really cool. You’ve got the pink Cadillac and the lighting is usually really good. I prefer it over the indoor chapel. Just because sometimes depending on where the officiant puts you, or how many guests you have, like the photographer doesn’t have a lot of room to move around and get different angles. So just my preference is I like it outside. But of course it’s up to you at your wedding day. I just give you suggestions based on like photography and when I think looks better, but you’re the ultimate decider when it comes to that.

So there’s changes coming. I will try to stay up to date on everything and like share about it on social media, so make sure you’re following us on Instagram. Sure Thing Chapel is the only other chapel that I know doesn’t charge an outside photographer fee. I really like that chapel. I recommend that one as well. It is indoors it’s really cute, like minimalist design, like a pink light up heart and some cute stuff. It’s also very conveniently located to where if you want pictures downtown and you get married at At chapel you don’t need like separate transportation, because we can walk around their stuff right there or like you’re walking distance from other places downtown.

So those are the two spots right now, you always have the option of like getting married, kind of you could get married on a sidewalk in front of like a mural or a building if it’s public property. So there are options. It is a bummer when some of these iconic places, change their roles and make it difficult, but um, I’ll do my best to keep you informed and just wanted to let everybody know and introduce myself and I’ll be doing more videos here so that I can share information and tips and if you have anything that you want to know more about that you think would be good for a video then just write in the comments below and I’ll add it to my list.
